Your memories of Chelsea at home?
Two great wins from the late 80s stick out for me.
An amazing 5-3 win in late 1986, after being 3-2 down with ten mins to go, and a 4-1 last match of the season in 1988, that consigned Chelsea to the play-offs and eventual relegation.

Yours?

The 3.1 a few years ago was excellent.

1-0 di canio winner as sub in the year we went down.

Came away from the ground really thinking we'd stay up.

the two you mention and the Di Canio

sadly 85-86 springs to mind too

the game where Hughes equalised in injury time only for us to score winner even later

I remember that, then Southampton went and drew with Bolton or something?

I remember a massive off in the South Bank at half time in that 5-3 match, Eddie. Were you involved?

Re: Your memories of Chelsea at home?
Their win at our place in 85-86 effectively prevented us from winning the league.

However, I prefer to remember all the wins over the years. The 4-1 at home when Leroy scored, the 5-3, the Kitson-Hartson match, and so on. But going back into the mists of time were the 4-0 Brooking double when Barota applauded and a superb 3-1 win in 1973 or 74 when they had Bill Garner up front.

Didn't Paul KITSON get the winner?

Wasn't there a game in the 90's that Ian BISHOP scored in as we won 2-1/ Laurent CHARVET might have got on the end of one for them? David UNSWORTH possibly scored as well?

0-0 when Pierluigi CASIRAGHI ended his career.

Sinclair and Unsworth.

Could have been Bishop's last game for us?

When we had a corner and Bish picked out Zola all alone on the half way line, who ran through and scored?

Re: Your memories of Chelsea at home?
I can remember us beating them 4-0 at home with Brooking scoring two and Devonshire getting one. Can't remember who got the other goal. Thing I remember was Brooking's second which he scored from outside the box and Borata (in goal) applauding Brooking as it went in.

Re: Your memories of Chelsea at home?
There was a 2-0 win when carrick and kanoute scored near identical goals from the edge of the box.

The win over Benitez was a cracking performance.

Also, sadly, the memory of the 3-2 FA cup defeat with hasselbaink taking a quick free kick about 30 yards from the actual offence and Terry getting the injury time winner. Cunts.

Re: Your memories of Chelsea at home?
The 2-1 defect to them in 85-86 killed us. Although we were winning 1.0 (Cottee) they were all over us. Can remmeber a bad mistake from Orr which gifted one.

Eddie B 11:35 Tue Oct 20
Re: Your memories of Chelsea at home?
Orr was outjumped by the midget that was Pat Nevin.

Re: Your memories of Chelsea at home?
Leaving my seat in about the 23rd minute when their 3rd goal went in to get a beer and returning to my seat in about the 65th minute just as that cunt Ashley Cole scored their 4th. Turned round and went straight down the Duke, as even Lampard being sent off wasn't saving that day!

Thankfully the good memories maybe outweigh the bad, including a Di Canio winner back in 2003.

Re: Your memories of Chelsea at home?
I can remember another game, think we won 3-1 where Langley went in goal for them. If memory serves me right Bill Green got one of the goals.
